Scanning the terrain
A U.S. Air Force HH-60G Pave Hawk assigned to the 1st Expeditionary Rescue Group scans the desert during a combat search and rescue and personnel recovery agile combat employment exercise within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Dec. 3, 2022. The ACE exercise enabled pilots, loadmasters, special warfare Airmen, and special mission aviators to increase their combat search and rescue proficiency by working as a rescue triad consisting of HH-60s, HC-130s, and pararescue forces in unison to rescue isolated personnel in a hostile environment.
