Essential Team Travis medical personnel receive base's first COVID-19 vaccine
U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Fanny Perez, 60th Inpatient Squadron intensive care unit nurse, injects 1st Lt. Shelby Hannigan, 60th Inpatient Squadron critical care nurse, with the COVID-19 vaccine Dec. 22, 2020, at Travis Air Force Base, California. Perez was among the first Airmen at Travis AFB to receive the vaccine. Members of the 60th Medical Group were tasked to support local hospitals in Southern California and assist with pandemic relief efforts. David Grant U.S. Air Force Medical Center is the largest Air Force medical facility and provides care to more than 276,000 Department of Defense and Veteran Affairs eligible beneficiaries.
