Lieutenant Colonel Chance is the Commander of the 349th Mission Support Group, Travis AFB, California. She provides leadership and management oversight to seven subordinate squadrons with nearly 807 personnel in support of the 349th Air Mobility Wing’s mission to provide airlift forces for Air Mobility Command’s global flying mission. The group also provides agile combat support for all U.S. military services in times of peace, war and national emergency within the United States and abroad
Lieutenant Colonel Corey Chance was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and received her commission from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in May 2007, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and was a Distinguished Graduate of the ROTC program. Her career highlights include assignments on the Headquarters Air Force Civil Engineer staff, the European Command staff, and as the Commander for the 911th Civil Engineer Squadron.
Lieutenant Colonel Chance completed her Masters of International Construction Management through the University of Florida and earned her Project Management Professional certification and Professional Engineer license. Her military education includes Air Command and Staff College (by-correspondence) and Squadron Officer School (in-residence) where she was the Commandant’s Excellence in Leadership Award and Outstanding Contributor recipient. Her husband, Rob, is an Ohio native currently serving on active duty as Commander of the 571st Mobility Support Advisory Squadron at Travis AFB.
